What You Will Do
- Develop and support learning programs that help employees build skills, confidence, and knowledge in their roles.
- Create practical training materials, resources, workshops, and online learning programs.
- Work with managers and employees to understand learning needs and identify areas where more training or support is needed.
- Support employees and teams with learning plans, coaching, and career development opportunities.
- Deliver engaging training sessions in different formats, such as workshops, e-learning, coaching, and blended learning.
- Support training program budgets by ensuring that programs are cost-effective and align with the FMB’s goals and budget.
- Support the use of new tools and technology, including AI.
- Keep accurate records of employee participation, learning progress, and training outcomes.
- Use feedback and data to measure how well learning programs are working.
- Help build an inclusive learning culture that reflects and honours Indigenous values and perspectives.
- Support employee recognition programs that celebrate team members’ contributions and reflect the organization’s values.
- Support employee engagement, recognition, onboarding, orientation, and leadership development programs.
- Stay current on new learning trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve programs.
- Share tools, resources, and best practices that enhance learning knowledge across the organization.
Requirements
Who You Are
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Communication, Adult Education, Human Resources, or another related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience designing and delivering corporate learning programs.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and how to design effective training programs.
- Direct knowledge or experience identifying training needs, creating training materials, and delivering training sessions is an asset.
- Experience helping organizations adopt new digital tools or AI technology is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to work well with others and communicate clearly, both in person and in writing.
- Experience supporting or delivering leadership development programs is an asset.
- Must have an understanding, awareness, and appreciation of Indigenous culture and history.
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices is an asset.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training for the role including Indigenous Cultural studies.
