JDK & Associates is recruiting on behalf of Keeseekoowenin Ojibway First Nation.

Keeseekoowenin Ojibway First Nation is seeking an experienced and relationship-focused Human Resources Director to lead the Nation's Human Resources function.

Reporting to senior leadership, this role provides both strategic and operational Human Resources leadership, supporting recruitment, employee relations, performance management, policy development, workplace investigations, organizational development and legislative compliance.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and staffing activities.
• Provide guidance on employee relations and workplace investigations.
• Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
• Maintain personnel records and HR documentation.
• Develop and implement Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and organizational policies.
• Coordinate staff training and organizational capacity-building initiatives.
• Partner with leadership to strengthen workplace culture and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:

• Human Resources Diploma or Degree.
• Minimum three (3) years of Human Resources experience.
• Experience in recruitment, employee relations and performance management.
• Strong organizational, communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
• Experience working with First Nations organizations is considered an asset.
