In this role, you’ll contribute to a wide range of human resources functions that support our employees and organizational goals. You will provide front-line support to employees and leaders, ensuring smooth People & Culture operations throughout the employee lifecycle. From recruitment and onboarding to engagement and compliance, you’ll play a key role in shaping the employee experience and supporting our mission to be a workplace where people thrive.
What You’ll Do
As a People & Culture Generalist, you will:
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees, addressing inquiries and connecting them with appropriate support.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records; assist with contracts, letters, and internal communications.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for production positions—posting jobs, screening applicants, facilitating interviews, and supporting hiring decisions.
- Facilitate onboarding for new production hires and support offboarding processes, including stay and exit interviews.
- Support compensation processes, policy administration, and compliance with employment legislation.
- Maintain and expand HRIS including applicant tracking system, onboarding system and other areas as required.
- Coach and support leaders in conflict resolution and employee relations.
- Participate in the development and delivery of employee engagement initiatives and special projects, helping foster a positive workplace culture.
- Stay current with employment legislation and apply it effectively in day-to-day operations.
Education & Qualifications
Required:
- CPHR designation is required.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Human Resource Generalist role.
- A strong aptitude for learning new software quickly. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), and HRIS systems.
- Working knowledge of labour legislation, and human resource best practices.
- Ability to analyze HR data and generate meaningful reports.
- Ability to manage confidential information in a professional manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at various levels.
- Adaptable team player with a high degree of initiative.
- Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously and shifting focus as priorities change.
- Experience facilitating training sessions with strong presentation skills.
Assets:
- Experience with HRIS implementation. Specifically, UKG.
- Formal training in conflict management skills.
This is an on-site position, requiring the successful candidate to work in the office full-time.
